Want to Register to Vote?

There are four (4) requirements or tests to successfully register. The tests are:

1) IDENTITY. You will need to provide proof that you are who you say you are. A photo ID is needed. A driver’s license is a typical proof. We are allowed to accept other official forms of ID too, like ID’s from some schools and/or government agencies.

2) AGE. You must be at least 18 years old to vote in New Hampshire. Proof of age is noted on a driver’s license. Birth certificates and passports also indicate birthday.

3) Citizenship. You will need to prove that you are a citizen of the United States. Birth certificates, passport and/or naturalization papers are acceptable proofs.

4) Resident in the Town of Grafton. You need to prove that you reside in the Town. Utility bills, property tax statement, pay checks listing your home address, etc. are all acceptable forms of proof.

While documented proof, as referred to above, is requested, such material is sometimes not available when registering. Should you come to register to vote and not possess documentation, you may complete an affidavit swearing to the truth of your answer to one or more of the proofs.
