Recreation Committee Vacancy

The Town of Grafton is seeking dedicated residents to fill two volunteer vacancies on the Recreation Committee.

Position Overview

  • Role: Recreation Committee Member
  • Openings: Two (2) vacant seats
  • Type: Volunteer (non-compensated)
  • Authority: Appointed by the Grafton Board of Selectmen
  • Term Length: Two (2) years, and One (1) year

Core Responsibilities

  • Program Planning: Develop community events and seasonal activities.
  • Park Management: Advise on maintenance and upgrades for the Recreational Field.
  • Budget Recommendations: Propose annual recreation budget priorities to the Selectmen.
  • Meeting Attendance: Attend scheduled committee meetings once a month.
  • Public Collaboration: Listen to resident feedback to improve town-wide activities.

Requirements

  • Residency: Must be a registered voter and resident of Grafton, NH.
  • Commitment: Available for evening meetings and occasional town events.
  • Mindset: Enthusiastic, community-minded, and collaborative.
